adjusting koni sports suspension
how do i go about adjusting my koni shocks?! i got the car with them already fitted and didnt come with any sort of instructions. i'm looking to make them stiffer as theres too much roll for my liking and there pretty soft too.
if anyone could tell me how to do this or provide me with a link i would be grateful.
cheers

anticlockwise makes them softer while clockwise stiffens them up...
its always better to have the fronts slightly softer than the rears so you have better turn into corners....just keep adjusting till your happy and suits your driving style...

oh and its done by the metal bit that comes out of the top of the shock in the engine bay side or in the rear arches....should have got an adjuster with the kit but if you aint just use pliers or something to turn them...just remember how much you turn them from the softest position so you can set the opposite side the same lol

Looks about the same as mine, and mines got what started off as 60mm P.I jobbies, but they are old and crusty now, i reckon its gota be 70/80mm near on now, when i put the 17's on the tyres were touching the rear arches un-laden

My Gaz Goldlines are on 7 clicks on the front and the rears on 20 and the ride is a bit soft...i will be tightening it up soon to about 10-12 on the front and 22-23 on the rear for road use and a bit stiffer for track use...

They set fully to softest setting, used the koni adjuster key thing so I know it is deffo softest.
what part will be seized if they are? the actual damper? all 4 corners move freely not sure about the back but the front feels quite soft if you bounce it but jus harsh when you hit pot holes etc.

just realised you have 17s on! yeah it aint the best of rides with 17's, 40profile tyres and koni's lol....
u might want to double check the poundage of the springs
i had Chassis Dynamics springs on mine and they were excellent...
quite stiff but bearable for me on the road...for everyone else they couldnt wait to get out
then again, coming from a VW Scirocco with 7.5 x 15's on a 195/40 tyre stretched on with a 120mm drop on coilovers with no bound adjustment i suppose it was like riding in a merc used to hop down the road instead of drive in that thing LOL

Koni's are too firm on the softest setting on englands roads IMO. Stiffening them up will not redice roll, they simply control the rate of suspension movement. Roll is not a bad thing. You would probably benifit from a geometry setup and some adjustable rear tie bars.
