ive posted this comment in restoration forum thread but i felt i needed to post again!
anyway....gutted! i got to devon today to buy this cab it was described as a1 condition on ebay and the pictures looked real good! someone must be good on photoshop or something!! the whole thing needed a respray, the sills were going, the roof woz fucked, the interior looked like an elephant had been living in there and smelt like it too and the engine was bodged to f**k, pipes cut n blocked off with bolts n jubilee clips, air hissing out the manifold, clutch knackered, aparently a new turbo too?....i think it was probably new to him anyway looked like it had been living in the ground for the last few years! knock sensor & cold start valve unplugged, got there and the engine was warm too!
not happy in the slightest, i just cant believe that the bloke was all yea yea yea its amazing on the phone, he sounded like a genuine geezer but he woz just trying to scheme me hard. pissed off is not the word!!

nah i lost my deposit on it paid thru paypal! when i got there and i saw it in the flesh i was just like argggggggggggggggg its shit not as described AT ALL ive just got rid of a rotter and i dont want another 1!!!! i swear all people do when you try and look for an rs turbo is blag you saying its mint im just sick of people wasting my time! he woz just like "its well fast its well fast its well fast" and he told me he cudnt afford to insure it thats why he was selling it. he was tryin to say the funky noise from the clutch was coming from the airflow meter too! it had etching on the windows from another car too!

 

Same has happened to me far too often aswell..

 

claim your cash back thruogh paypal as not as discribed-do the szame through e bays disputes then if you know his e mail address send a request for payment (amount he ows you! deposit!+out of pocket expenses-even if hes no money in the paypal account they will take it from his bank!! and hold until dispute is settled (only the amount you sent him though) be nice in your messages and keep calm no f-----ing this and that!!!!-lol regards aaron-guru7001/ebay

 

I had that when i bidded on a car on ebay the guy told me it was "immaculate" and when i got to see it it was FAR!!! from it the upside is that he drove the car to me (250 miles each way ) and he was told to do one and to describe he's item's truthfully next time I was going to pay he fuel costs untill his misses started giving it the mouth
