Default Wire for starter motor

Hello!

How goes wires for starter motor.. I have big red and black wire and on starter motor are two bolts... Which wire goes where?

I was looking in manual but noting...

On my ERST there are the two terminal bolts, one is 8mm the other is 6mm. On the 8mm goes the big red wire, and two smaller red ones. On the 6mm goes the small black wire.

I know this all too well bacause ive taken the bastard thing off too many times lately (Gearbox )

I got a similar problem but mines sparking like a c**t when im connecting the battery! I've got 2 terminals on the starter, ive connect the big red and black from the battery, and the 2 from alternator to the 8mm bolt and the push on 1 to the 6mm bolt! I think i've done it wrong! any ideas?

I have the same bolt size, 8mm. Here is the pic... I cant start up the engine. Maybe battery is weak

You have the wires on the wrong terminal, put them on the other 8mm.
Should be a 6mm stud aswell with a push on plug/wire (thin)

hi can you please tell me the colour of the thin wire that pushes onto the 6mm bolt as i am havn trouble connecting my 1 up is it blue?

okay thanks do you know where that black wire comes from as i am stuck with wiring up the alternater to the starter on my rs turbo?thanks for the help
