Have asked this before but what does everyone do when runnin an efi inlet on an erst throttle cable wise as the ends are totally different! I bought an efi throttle cable that fits the throttle body end as it should, but the pedal end is totally different to the one i had before. Can't find any cable with the right ends, gettin right on me nerves!! Surely someone must have an easy solution??? Was thinkin of fitting a fiesta rst pedal but not sure if it will fit???

Now this is interesting as i was helping another member the other day and he bought a cable which was allegedly an EFI 3i cable, but it had the wrong end.

I have a second hand one i'll have a look at in a bit that came off a EFI 3i, im sure the mk4's all had the same pedals.

ok............just checked my cable, and the end on it is different

but that then said i have a few cables lying around but i'm sure thats the one off the EFI 3i.........what a fucker

Cheers for the replies....at least i know i don't keep gettin the wrong cable!! Thought i might have to change the pedal, not that easy to find efi xr3's in the scrappy tho....why the fuck did they bother changin the design of the throttle cable/pedal!!

I used the existing 1.1 cable on my escort bonus and it fittied on the efi throttle with a little adjustment, if thats any help.

what did u think i did easyer option use that and a escort zetec throttle cable job done! loads down the scrap yards

carb pedel is the same as a efi one
1600 zetec throttle cable is the same as a xr3i efi one

3i EFI pedal and cable. Used that on mine.

Got a spare pair here for £15 delivered if you want them mate.
