Default New ford suggestions, 16v and fuel computer...

Hi

I'm new to this site, i recently bought a 1990 rs turbo, it was in a prety bad shape but so far i manged to fix most of the prublems and even come up to 20PSI with my little T3, it runs well (really strong!!) but not good enough.
The two next things that i want to replace is
1. fuel computer, right now im equiped with a cosworth fuel system but cant get to the right tuning.
2. MORE important, convert it to 16V, mabey a zetec cylinder head or a sierra 2000 cylinder head, dont know what will fit the engine and manifolds...

Can any one plz help, i went to the experts in ford (English people)
Thanke you guys in advance[/b]

You wont be able to change to a 16v head without changing the bottom end.

hy to you but i am sorry to inform you that in israel ARE ONLY 2 GENIUNE RS TURBO !!!!
your car is xr3i with rst engine
one is 1988 - red
second is 1989 - white

the red is mine if you need any help pleas feel free to contact me at 054-4976909

about the cvh 16v head if you will pay ~10000 EURO you will have one
schrik from germany built 3 16v heads for testing now only left 1 head and it's in germany on rs1600i bottom end and that produce about 180 hp
according by owner of the car

later i will post some pics

the bottom end is- the bottom half of the engine, also known as the block it holds the crankshaft, conrods, pistons ect. basically its the bit your head is bolted on

also by putting a 16v or zetec head your not gaining much, maybe just better air flow. the better option would be to keep the cvh head, but use a 2.0 zetec bottom end, this way you would have a 2.0 but with all the benifits of a cvh head, its also a cheaper way as you can keep all the original manifolds ect.

or you could go for full zetec turbo

what mods you done for 20psi?

firs of all thank you all,

Fredy - my car is genuine RS TURBO, engine imported from England as well as the turbo and a GRS front cooler, bailly dump valve and samco turbo pipes, and all was build on a 1990 XR3I (red) i live in center Israel and an article was done on the car on SHARKS web site (before closed) so maybe you got confused...
b.t.w i will call you, be happy to meet another rs owner in Israel.

fast_ford_uk
all fuel system is coswarth, 330 injectors, coswarth pistons, and coswarth management and after tuning in my friends shop we brought her to 20 PSI - was really strong, but i brought her back down to standard i still need some work done on the clutch and i have some hitting problems (not serious but needs attentions ). air conditioner was removed as well as all the rear part of the car, OMP seats were mounted.

zetec turbo ? whats it size ? and what other changes do i need in order to fit it ? getting a zetec bottom end in Israel will be very hard...
bottom end ... i know what it is just didn't know that its called like this in English , thx any way

will post pic's soon...
