Hi there,
The other day, i was talking to my dad about cars and he mentioned the rs turbo series 1 he used to own.
So, me being me, told my mate at school that my dad had had a rally car the equivalent to a modern day subaru.
He fired back saying that my dad might have had a rally car, but his dad has a fast sports car.
When he told me about the car, and of its speed, acceleration, handling, etc. I thought he had a Subaru Impretza, Mitsubishi Evo etc.
He then told me the car... a Smart Roadster... I almost burst my heart with laughter... Anyone have anything to say??

I had a Smart Roadster Brabus, it was not what I would call fast(100bhp) but it would go round corners faster than anything. 800kg with 245 35 17 sticky rubber, and you sat on the floor.

They reviewed the Smart Roadster on Top Gear did they not? I hate to think of what Clarkson would of said about the S1 if that was there as a comparison

The Smart Roadster Brabus is faster than the standard model but look at the stats
0-60 in 9.7 seconds
Top Speed 121 mph
103 BHP
Even a standard RS Turbo is faster than that, and the price of the Smart Brabus is Ł16,995. I could go on ebay, buy an RS for Ł3,000, and spend 14k on restoring and modifying it...
In other words, buy a Smart if your stupid, or buy a 5 seat RS Turbo with boot space and higher specifications if you would like a bargain...

Top Speed 121 mph
103 BHP
