Default adjusting actuator rod...

Hi guys, can someone please offer me a bit of advice.

I want to turn up the boost of my escort rs turbo by around 2-3psi. Its got a chip, exhaust, filter, GRS intercooler, stage one turbo, -31 actuator, piper cam. Its running at the mo 0.6 bar of boost and I would ideally like to take it up to a bar.

How do you exactly turn in the actuator rod? I know there is an 11mm nut one end and a clip on the other...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

take it to a tuner mate, i know its only a couple of pounds of pressure but its a piece of piss to knock your setup out of kilter and damage something.

It's not nothing to do with emissions. If there isn't enough fuel there for the extra boost, the engine will melt. Simple as.

But if you really must do it, loosen the locknut, take the circlip off, prize the rod-end off the wastegate and shorten the rod length by 1 turns at a time. Be sure to turn the rod end and not the rod itself.

Refit the rod-end onto the wastegate, followed by the circlip, then tighten the locknut.

Your best off taking it to a pro mate you may only be turning it up a few psi but that can be enough to melt your engine if you aint got enough fuel to cope with it and if thats the case it will end like this
