250 to 300 bhp 1.9 zvh
i took my car to karl norris before christmas when he lived in coventry to get it mapped because it was doing 15 to the gallon not booting it.he said i will be able to get 25 to 30 but my cossie running was crap so i got all the new gear from jano, after re mapping it and driving back from derby where he had moved i thought it was alright till i drove as normal every day then to my disgust i found that i had gone to 12 to the galleon ie 50 mile on 20 quid. i tried e mail and phoning him but a waste of time same old story had your money and dont wont to know. so who can tell me what i should be getting on this spec of engine or who can i e mail to sort this problem out

i would have thought with after market management, and off boost driving it would be possible to achive a decent mpg,
the old mans just had his skyline remaped (with new ecu , apexi power fc) and even on a 2.6 twin turbo with bigger turbos and making nearly 500 bhp he still gets 29 mpg on the motor way,
my crapy mfi escort runing 1.5+ bar still gives at least 22 in normal driving

I have to say that it IS possible to have an RST that is reasonable on fuel, of course it depends on what spec it is.
Mine has an Omex 710 Series ECU and 525cc Injectors. I see over 200 miles to a tank-full without any problems and that is at 350bhp. I am quite pleased with that. Haven't worked out MPG, but it must be close to 18-20 on average, which at that spec is fine.
This is because alot of time has been spent working on the off-boost and driveability mapping. This is something that takes time and costs money and is only as good as your management system allows versus the time spent setting it up.
K-Jet is thirsty if you are running high power and the only real way to get any level of economy is to run a 5th Injector, so that you can have sensible off-boost fuelling and chuck extra fuel in when needed.

mines a larger capacity cvh and it drinks the fuel aswell, tis very hard to drive mine off the boost cus it starts positive boosting so early.
i get 150 miles to a tank normally and just over 200 on a run, i put it down to the old mfi system not being very efficient
