a big 1 its an alloy 1 on the car at the mo i have a new 1 thats a 31. and the 1 on the car is loads bigger ?the rod on the 31 was on my standered turbo witch i replaced and was ment to be runnin 12 psi ? but the rod is shorter on the 31 than the 1 on the car. it was hitin 20 psi the dropin to 14psi so i adjusted the rod on the acurator on the car and its now holdin the above it felt flat before but now feels a bit better its in for a tune in 2 weeks time but if its summin fooked id like to change kit before the tune hope this helps

the turbo isnt that old i hope its not that
my worry is that on the -31 i have is new and was only on the car for 10seconds and blew up and the rod is shorter so it will pre loaded is this ok ?
the rod on the acurator on the car at the mo fits stright on and u dont have to pull on the rod to get it to fit is this right ?
cheers for help so far rsmat

i had this problem what it is because u are setting ur boost on the actuater, witch is altering the preload. what u need to do is screw the actuater rod bk, then set the boost by either, bleed vavle, or using the amal valve. I pulled my rod out to make 16psi. but then it was dropping of to 12psi, so karl norris told me what to do,. now it hold 15 all the way. take the rod all the way bk, well not all the. hope this helps if that doesent work, actuater spring may have gone week.

Yeah I was gonna say about preload, but not entirely sure how that shit works so thought I'd wait till someone else said it

Still don't know how preload shit works

If your are loosing boost doesn't that mean you might have a leak somewhere ie split pipe?

Cheers
