just an update for you guys
yesturday i removed the pistons to find that one ring was damaged (good)
but two pistons were fuked, one cracked (very bad)
not only that, but its in need of a re-bore
soooo hopefully next tuesday the re-bore will be done and 2weeks and over Ł1200 later i can finally start to put her back together. also ive decided to add a new oil pump and shells to my list

the most annoying thing isnt the money or the time, its my workmates constantly saying "you cant thrash these RS's you should have bought a banger" well you can obvously guess what i think of that 
but she will be nice to drive when shes done, i spent 3 hours porting and polishing today
