Help !! Wheel Alignment / Geometry set up ??
Just fitted adjustable TCA to my Series 2. Car sits on 17's with KONI adjustables.
It now needs to be set up as the camber etc is way out - any suggestions as to what I should do and where I should go to get the car set up.
This is new to me and I dont want to get mugged off by having work carried out that is not required.
What exactly do I need ?? Is it a geometry set up or tracking or wheel alignment ?
I have spoken to a few local places in the Essex area (you know the sort of thing Kwik "chav" fit and Euro"chav"master and some independants but no one seems to know what I am talking about unless its to do with a Corsa or a Nova so i need to understand what I need before I go any further.

Oi watch your language theres sensitive people about
Go to somewhere a bit more up market than the average kwik fit bodgers. The local places around here are Pro-Tyre, they have machines capable of doing Camber, Castor and Toe.
Camber adjustments aren't very common on most road going cars, hence why your average chimp will look at you blankly

The set up that you want will be.
Front camber - 0.5 to 1 deg negative. The more negative, the less traction you will get, but more negative equals more grip round corners but depends on the amount of body roll.
Front toe - 1 to 3mm toe-out depends on the slip angle of the tyres. Try 2mm if you cant experiment on the road.
Rear toe - as little toe-in as possible but not straight ahead. The toe-in gives the rear end stability.
Hope this helps?
Simon.
