Failed the MOT today on the S1....gutted.
spent £250 last month on the steering rack and track ends ect.

not to bad though, main bit was £150 welding to be done Friday.

couple of bulbs, adjusting main beam, new suspension bush and my CO2 is double the fail rate.....

told em to do the work and turn the emmisions down, so car back next week probally.

The failed emmissions, what is that down too?? is it oil seals and metering head??

and if its the metering head can the re-build kits cure the problem or would you need a new metering unit?

my s1 failed the mot on co2, fella just turned down the mixture screw till it was back in line... when i got me ticket, i wound it back up 1/4 turn...

As above, dont be giving it much slipper after your mot, you could be running too lean and end up with melted piston!

I would get it booked in for a diagnostic/setup asap after your mot.
