i fitted an S2 roof into my S1 without cutting anything just had to re-drill some holes.
was a pain in the arse though, want a proper S1 roof to be sure

Im 99.9% sure the glass out of a MK5 fits, the runners etc are different though but they just unscrew.
However though, anything after mk3 is green tint, MK3's have bronze tint.......

try laying the mk3 and mk4 sunroofs together.... the s2 is longer
like i said replicate the end as well dont just hack it off.you have to drill 6 holes as well from memory..
its a piece of cake to do and if you want to be a mug and pay s1 sunroof prices go ahead...mk4's are £10-£20 max in scrappies... i picked mine up from a local breaker for £8 out of a escort estate mk4 and it isnt green tint.
just bid your time and get a good one.
theres plenty of threads on the rs bb in the rs1600i section on how to do it.
