Default Efi loom for Efi conversion?

I'm about to convert my Mfi to Efi and I know for sure that it would be best to get XR3i loom for it....but what about MK5 escort 1.6i CVH loom. Can I use it with all the other bits, or is it in some way different from MK 4 XR3i??

The easiest ways IMO are either to find a proper MK4 EFI loom, or get a 2i/FRST loom and patch that in.

The problem being with the MK5 loom is it doesnt just unplug like the i loom, you be hacking looms apart as the ECU lives inside the car.

The beauty of the FRST loom is that is simply unplugs and is nice and simple.

I'll sell you a loom if you want one....

mate

think about Gotech - piece of piss to fit and comes with its own loom.
allows for unlimited tuning and moding in the future , cos you know tuning and the search for more never ends!!!!

dunno why its so expensive your side , bought mine for ZAR2000.00 , which is around 140 quid

I've never seen a MK5 with an ECU other than in the passenger footwell.......

And the only place the loom enters the car is the drivers side footwell on a MK5.......
