Oil
What oil do you lot recommend, I would normally use mobil 1 but went for some cheapy stuff last time No problems but maybe got a bit thin when running at full chat. Anyway, gonna change it again and wana know what peeps suggest? mobil 1 / castrol I guess?
It is a standard 1600 cvh running 10psi

Use 5/30 fully synthetic oil. As long as it's this grade you should be fine. Thats the grade ford told me to use.

hmm... ok so is 10w 60 the recomended one? if ford tol him 5w 30? Oil is oil IMO but at the same time i wouldnt put any propper cheap shit in, cos it is most important lube of the engine obviously........

5w30 seems a bit thin for a cvh,think about the age of the engine and how many miles it has done,5w30 would be ok for 16 valve and the like, i would personally use 15w50 mobil 1

I always use mobil 1 motorsport in mine but a friend of mine had he's engine set up etc by Tommy Field who advised him to use an oil that shell do. Not sure which one it is but coming from someone of Tommy's experience can't be too wrong
