gearbox/clutch problem ?????

right i have got a 2litre zvh turbo escort cabriolet but im having some problems changing gear its like the clutch dont go in all the way keeps trying to pull away in gear with the clutch all the way down so i changed the clutch cable and still no better any sujestions ??????

Sounds like your ratchet and pawl mechanism is gubbed and not adjusting the clutch. Try levering the clutch arm with a large bar, and then have someone depress the clutch pedal. This should sort it on a temp basis, but will eventually slip down again.
The ratchet and pawl parts are easily avaliable from Ford and come to about 13 quid.
