Just a quickie as not sure but is there any difference between the S1 & S2 steering racks ?

There are at least two different kinds of steering on normal MkIII/IV Escorts. I've seen both, the tie rod is either attached to the rack with a a male or female thread. Both types can be found on Mk3's and Mk4's. Sorry, I think my english isn't good enough to explain it properly.

Don't know anything about the different ratios either.

 

All are interchangable, with not much differences
