telhonda1, you can run 2 fans off the original wiring depending on their current rating, you can buy different flow rate fans and the ones with a higher flow rate are usually higher current.

The thermostat housing has a swirl pot already so i doubt thats going to help much. Ideally you want the fans closer to the rad, or get 2 fans and have them snadwiched between the rad and IC, one pulling through the IC and one blowing through the rad.
