Default s2 acceleration problem

could anyone offer any help please??? my s2 recently started to cut out,
then failed to start due to poor connections at the fuel pump, now after amending this problem I have found another which it never had before.
when i start the car its fine, when i set off driving its fine but as soon as I put the foot down the bloody thing looses accelration instantly and splutters until I take my foot bac of the pedal
can anyone help????
thanks in advance

the boost hasnt been touched since i got the car and has been ok for last month
when driving it if i gradually put the foot down its fine it picks up speed, but the second i put the foot to the floor regardless of current speed of driving its like it chokes til I come off the pedal

sounds like a fuel block to me, had a very similiar problem with mine but it was worse- turned out the pressure regulator was almost completly blocked- theres a fair few components to the fuel system so its process of ilimination am afraid

Check the hose between the metering unit and the turbo as they can go soft and collapse under the vacuum created by the turbo.

ok i will check that cheers have checked all round the intake system and double checked all hoses were secure and in position, I am at a total loss as to what it could be,its wierd, when accelerating normally,it picks up fine, in all gears, say, for instance ,I am driving along at 30mph, if i slowly and graduially push the pedal the car picks up as it should , when changing gears up or down its fine its when i floor the accelerator wether it be from standstill or while driving hi or low speed,it just dies chokes n splutters til I take my foot off accelerator

Mine was doin the same, and I never found out why! I dunno if it's doing it now as ive not had the car out for ages, but the hoses from the amal valve to actuator/turbo/metering unit werent all tight and it was overboosting so I put it down to that for now, also fitted a new fuel tank that I should of cleaned out before fitting, so wondered if it was something to do with that also.

I'd take it for a RR setup soon anyway as it's a new car to you and you dont know much about it or it's setup, precautionery if anything but probably well worth it !! Best place up out neckof the woods is AVA.
