Pro Alloy RS500 intercooler on a S1?
Has anyone fitted a Pro Alloy (or other) RS500 intercooler on a S1 or S2?
I fancied doing something a bit different but not sure if it can be done?
I am restoring my S1 and had a Pro Alloy front mount IC before. I'm going full zetec aiming for around 330bhp.
Cheers

me and my mate are buildin a 2 litre zetec turbo track car and we are putting an rs 500 intercooler on it but we have got the radiator in the boot so it makes things a bit easier the main things to consider are that an rs 500 intercooler is 855mm wide so on an rs turbo escort that is in the centre of both the lights so it has to go at a bit of an angle but you dont want to fowl the turbo or put it in front of the front pannel or get rid of the lights but then the car can only be a track car. plus there is no point in having a massive intercooler and covering it up with a bumper you may as well buy a grs one. then you have to alter the boost hoses as the inlet and outlet are on opposite sides. it looks good wen its on but i dont think i would suggest it to any one better off getting a custom made one to the right size GRS do one that is verry big for the series 1
