Default Another electrical problem

Recently my stereo has been cutting out if I turn it up too much,
I put this down to a poor earth, so the pulled the dash foward
and I was right, the earth was practically hanging off,

now since putting it all back together my stereo
and clock loose its memory when the ignition is turned
off and the green relay above the pedals starts tapping
while im driving. I dont know what the relay is for,
I think it may be the heated screen? Also my handbrake light
has a mind of its own.

anyone got any ideas as to what might be causing this to happen?

cheers Tony

if its high channel output then its usually a fused feed straight from the battery

The green relay is the ABS relay.

Do you have your stereo wired up to turn off with the ignition?

just fuse it from the battery ,and use a new clean earth you will have a perm live [ battery ] and an ignition live or acc live, you should be able to find it using a m/ meter , the handbrake light ,like mine , has a mind of its own you say ?

try checking right next to the h/brake under the carpet there is a sensor thingy blob, maybe thats loose. mine is, but im not bothered , at the mo, lol

quality advice, checked my fluid, its fine no probs with the braking at all!

ill try running a new fused live wire through to see if that helps my stereo, its wired in at the mo so it can be turned on without the ignition being on. thats how it worked before anyway lol.

doesnt help my clock much though
