hi im a new member. i wonder if any1 knows my car or any history on it. its an escort s2 rs turbo red with the number plate g7 rst.
i bought the car from surrey in may and i know the car has been tuned buy power engineering any help would be great cheers.

Don't know much about it other than i wanted to buy it a few years ago when it was up for sale. Looked a peach, a lad on here said he saw it round your way a few weeks ago so knew it had been sold to someone in scotland. Nice car, going okay?

i got the car in may and have had a few wee problems. i still love the power though. can u remember the bhp on thew car when u were going to buy it?
at the moment the car is making about 240bhp @18psi as thats the last print i have.
im having probs wae a top end rattle and the car is running lean any suggestions? i reckon a worn cam.

Yes,was on Crimestoppers tv programme on the telly a few years back.Was used in a hangbag grab and chased by the Thames Valley police helicopter and 4 cop cars.On the camera you could see loads of sparks coming out the exhaust as they were giving the engine so much stick the carbon was being burned of the valves in the head!!! Was also a bit were it went over a hump back bridge and it bottomed out on landing and all you could see was sparks flying out from underneath the car!!!In the end the police set up a road block using a Tesco delivery lorry to block the road and the driver in youre car locked up the brakes and it slid into the side of the Tesco lorry,badly damaging the drivers front wing/bonnet and bumper!!!!It siad the thief got a 2 year ban and 200 hours community service.This was all discussed on the net 2/3 years ago when the programme 1st aired on tv.Youre motor is famous!!!!

Yeah power was quoted as much the same, i remember it being around the 230-240 mark anyway. How do you know it's running lean? You're best to take it over to AVA, there not that far from you. I think Jambo stays near you, he'll no doubt help when he see's this

Do you know what managment it's running?

cheers micky was a bit worried there.

the car has an alpha fuel ratio meter in it and lights up like a rainbow to tell me how its running and how good the mixture is. im not sure what management its running it has a hearts and diamonds chip and a fifth injector.
the car seems to have most of its work done at power engineering so i know its not a cowboy job.lol
