boosting an 1989 uk import xr3i efi
i have a 1989 uk import xr3i fitted with the fiesta type inlet efi manifold
i have come across various references on the net of peeps boosting this with minor mods
is this possible?
how much boost can it handle?
do i need to chip it?
can the map sensor handle positive boost?
where do i check for ofab/ofac?
do i need to change the act sensor to one which will handle raised air intake temps?
this is my second project car , i will be fitting the xr3 turbo cvh i am cuurently rebuilding into it when i start with a boosted 2l zetec for the xr3
all help appreciated

I think you can run low boost with the engine but dont think its worth the effort unless you work the bottom end or just go for a rs engine instead then you know you wont go wrong but its down to you
