Anyone help?

my S1 started to stall whenever i slowed or stopped.
Kept cutting out all through town till i got home, done this everytime i went out.

Thought my pipes may be blocked so i changed to Samco's.

Changed the rocker gasket at the same time.

started her just now and she wont hold the revs, just dies everytime.
help!

You've got an air leak somewhere.Check all gaskets on the inlet side, pipe from inlet manifold to servo, oil cap on rocker cover sealed correctly etc etc.Bin youre dump valve if you have one fitted.Regards Micky

As is said you probably have an air leak. I find the best way is to systematically remove potential air leaks by removing pipes one by one and blocking the connections on the engine.

Brake servos are always a prime suspect.

Does the car run smoothly if you hold it at the lowest achievable RPM? And if youve got a vacuum gauge what does that read/do?

If you can remove the main breather pipe from the airbox and plug the hole with a 3/8 - 1/4" socket reducer (thats what im using temporarily) and see if its any better. That will remove the whole engine from being an air leak.
