I'll be binning the series 1 calipers, and if possible fitting series 2 callipers (just as good as 2wd cosworth calipers (maybe not as good as 4x4 ones im not sure, but need to know!) with spacer brackets if possible on escos discs (same as 4wd sierra?)

Basically need to know what combinations i can use, ideally as cheep as possible (so hopefully escos discs, S2 calipers and spacer brackets

Think you may have your wires crossed there mate, the 2wd calipers are 4 pots and the 4x4 only single.

If you got the esc cos discs then you need calliper and hanger from esc cos or 4x4 sierra cos and the pads to go with it. I got away with using a 2mm washer between hanger and hub on mine. You can always use spacers and standard calllipers but you only use half the braking surface due to the standard pad being smaller in width.

2wd discs are the 4 pots yes, and will near on bolt straight up. You have to be seriously LUSHHH to have these though, hence why i do

i have focus rs brembos and std focus rs discs....on my s1.....what a nitemare it was tho,

the easiest conversion is the 2wd cossie disc and the 4x4 calliper, bolts straight on and NO messin whatsoever

you can use escos discs and 2wd callipers however you will need wheel spacers and spacers for the calliper to hub,

the other option in st170 discs and s2 callipers, fits nice just a little fettling going on tho....nothin major,

in fact you can use almost anything on anything now as ppl like reyland will take all your brakes and hubs and wheels and make em all fit together for about 130 quid

S1lee, cheers

biglee, Thanks bud, the whole idea was, get the discs cheep, get cheep S2 calipers, and spacer brackets, all for under £50 so would have a decent set up for cheep as chips

So if i want to use escos discs I need the wheel spacers?

Anyone know how much I can get 2wd discs for? I thought £90 for the pair, but been told around £25 for a side each at a motor factors

safechav, The whole point is im skint and £50 for a decent set up then i'd do it.

ballin, And as i said. . where would you get a set of escos discs for £25? as far as im aware. . you wont get them for that price ANYWHERE infact, im led to believe they are £90+ NEW in the box. The whole point is, ive got not allot of £ to spend, and this was ideal. . if it's not possible, i'd forget it, but im told it is possible with some other parts.
