check my t3
whos tryed a home rebuild?, this has more movment thats a barrel full of horny eel's so ill save it from scrap and give it a rebuild see how it goes, its marked to be rebuild as balanced as poss
also wheres cheapest for a rebuild kit?
helpful comments from those who have attempted it are very welcome i knwo ppl who have rebuilt t25's and t2's at home with huge sucess but no body seems to try on a t3 due to easy 2nd hand availability

Nige Danny@RADesigns on here does them for £68 i think i had to take all housing off my turbo and have a stud drilled out as it bloody snapped it dont look that hard to rebuild it just getting the balence right which cant be done perfect at home but can give it a try might be lucky

it shud line up ok to keep balance as best as poss
found kits for £40 so far
is it worth getting a stud drilled?, cant u just get another housing?, after all the hassle i'd just change it, take it u still aint usin teh fookin thing

You need to check the backplate of the compressor housing isn't worn, the oil seal sits in a hole in it, but if the shaft is wobbling its more than likely the backplate is worn (alloy) so that too will need replacing.
Also the cheap kits won't do you, as you have a 360 thrust, AND you need to check your shaft for signs of scoring.........if its scored u will need the shaft machining (if its not worn toooo bad) and oversize bearings....
