Default Idling/Running problem

I have just finished re-fitting my freshly skimmed head with all new gaskets etc. I have replaced all hoses/clips etc and re-checked over and over again for a loose hose or a burst. The car was put off the road because the gasket was away between 2 cylinders(all else was fine).
The car now starts but won't idle and then cuts out but will tick over if you hold it at about 1300rpm. When you try revving it above that it is mega lumpy and seems to me as if its an air leak but I really cant find anything.......

Any Idea's?????
I want my car on the road and at least driveable enough to drive it to AVA for a set-up.

Cheers
