My engine management for my car is far superior to most Escort RST engine management systems I have seen. Currently, it is in my bedroom though and MFI remains on my car until I get round to swapping over.

Personally im not sayin MFi cant do a job... justsayin not aswell as EFi and i think if sum1 did a test, got a RST of any spec on MFi and dyno'd it, then changed managment over to any form of EFi i bet it wud make more power...

aswell as make better drivability, i dont doubt it can achieve big power as ive witnessed it happen mate!

That was meant for S2badboy/essexrsturbo to be honest mate. It's the "blinkered" comment that I couldn't understand as we can all admit that MFI is shit but it can fuel for bhp if set up correctly.

But you need to understand that if you had an MFI escort and put it on the rollers and got 200bhp, then swapped the MFI for EFI, you should still get 200bhp. If you gain power from a management swap, pick up the MFI stuff and wrap it round your tuners head because he/she doesn't know what they are doing with it.

Look at it this way, outright power (wide open throttle) is easy to sort out on MFI. Say you have a 1600 CVH with MFI and it needed to run at 13.7:1 air to fuel ratio to keep things nice a cool and not det. You then swap it for EFI. Your engine is still the same, the physics behind how much air it being drawn into the engine is the same, the volumetric efficiency (how much air and how quickly the engine can process), brake specific fuel consumption (how much fuel the engine uses to make power) and the brake mean effective pressure (how much pressure on the piston is created) remain unchanged. This means the exact same amount of fuel is required for each cylinder to maintain 13.7:1 AFR. The issue is the drivability (and fuel economy), that is the difficult bit on KE Jet, not the top line power output. For a track car, it would be good. For a road car, not so ideal as you don't always spend a lot of time at WOT.
