Default whats best to re-seal seams/joints?

ive been doing some work on the RS and inside, where the panels meet theres like a rubber sealant, wherever two panels meet!its not a great explanation but im sure u know what i mean!

ive removed some of the above "stuff" and was wondering what is it? well actualy i just wanna know whats the best stuff to reseal it with is,i thought silicone but silicone dosent bond with metal well and will pull away after a short period!

I think the technical word you are looking for is Grey goo

Which panels have you removed/disturbed?

Ah right, i thought u meant the sealent that is on items in the engine bay and bolt through to the car, and stop moisture getting in.

Normal seam sealer sounds like what you need if its just for welds etc. I bought a pot of autoseal i think its called, Ł9 for a tin, alleged to brush on i just put a latex glove on and smear it with my fingers
