just changed my standard turbo for a stage 1 with a 31- Act , the ECU is not chipped and its boosting to 1.5bar and the ECU is not cutting it out
i have turned the bleed valve down how its boosting just under 1bar i have checked all pipes going to and from turbo, anlve valve, act,bleed valve and they are all done up why is the ECU not cutting it out please help

take the bleed valve out altogether,and then see how much boost you get.Regards Micky

Are you 100% sure your ecu is not chipped as it should cut it at 9-10 psi if it's not chipped

your ecu must be chipped otherwise the overboost protection would kick in at 10.5 psi.
what was the pre-load set to on the -31? what boost were you running before?

i had the same sort of problem with mine, turned out to be a weak actuator and the wastegate sticking open wich resulted in the car boosting to 20psi before overboost would kick in. car wa snot chipped and doesnt have a bleed valve

Bleed valves are shit mate - the ECU should be controlling everything. Take it to a specialist and let them sort it out.
