cat b write off
did a hpi check on my s2 last night for it to come back as a cat b write off in 97 but i dont really understand what this means. is it ok for my car to be on the road or not and the dvla dont no nothing about it so dont really no what to do thanks in advance

A Vehicles in this category have been damaged beyond repair. They will have no
economically salvageable parts and should be crushed.

thats what i mean and it happened 9 years ago so dont no how they got round to keeping it on the road its taxed n moted chssis numbers match up and dvla say they have nothing on there records so now dont no what to do. dont wont to break it as its mint done a good job of fixing it up

If it's mint and drives ok then don't worry about it mate, no need to break it at all!
Especially if the DVLA are happy for it to be on the road!

Try and contact the previous seller ask them if they knew about it and what the fuck they were doing not telling you if they did!

had the car nearly a year just leave it in my grandads garage only ever used to drive it under his trade insurance but now he has stopped the policy got to insure it in my name but cant find anyone to insure it as it has been a write off well thats what they say do u think the car is supposed to be on a q plate

Which insurance companies have you tried? When I quoted a Series 1 last week (which turned out to be a Cat C) none of the insurance companies came back with anything!
Big name ones too, Elephant, Direct Line etc etc
