Default turbo boost

just a quick question whitch way is it to reduce the boost in or out and by how muct its a standed ecu and iv got an ajustable actuator and have a chip?

Assuming you mean adjusting the actuator, lengthening the rod will decrease the boost. Shortening to up it. (Remember to remove the arm from the wastegate first )

None of that makes any real sense!

sorry iment iv got a chip actuator k&n low comp bottem end and my shit gauge say im boosting 18psi and it was set up an standerd ecu what im saying is iwant to know whever ican put my ecu that has a chip in cause the engine was set up before with all that then my meter head size up and had it set up with out the chip and bleed valve???

that makes no sense at all, please look at what you are typing....PLEASE! as far as i can make out you want to know if you dont have to bother setting it up if you put the chipped ecu back in???

my advice would be:


1, put your chipped ecu in the car..(if its not in the car already)
2, put your -31 actuator on the turbo(aprox 4mm of strech to a shut wastggate)
3, get a new boost gauge and fit it!
4, last but not least get down your local rs tuner and HAVE IT SET UP!

ok that all ok the only thing i have to do is put the chip back in and set the actator up what boost should it be set at
lower the better ithink 13psi would be fine
is the actuator the only way of changing the boost level??

Do you have a chipped ECU or just a chip?

tbh mate i'd run it at standard boost until it's setup, even at 13psi it would run shite.

Are you still running the amal valve? if so to change boost you need to bypass it with a bleed valve. Don't go messing too much with actuator.

iam still running the amal valve and have taken off the bleed valve ithink what i will do is put the standerd actuator back on.
what would you do ikeep on getting differant appinions
shall i put evering thing back to standerd even the ecu

by they way it a chiped ecu??? any suggestion pls thanks all!!!!!!!!1
