Default SPOILERS

hi im after a 89 spec rear spoiler for the rst umm but will a 90 spec fit or will i need the 89 spec coz i have the holes in my boot to me the 90 spec spoiler looks like it goes up the tailgate a little more than the 89 does ???

It's normally refered to as 88 spec...or pre 90 spec, some 89 rst's had a 90 spec spoiler from the factory.


So what are you saying here you have a 90 tailgate and want and older 88 spec spoiler? - Either way you are correct the holes are located in different places.

As Adam said, either spoiler can be made to fit but you may have to drill new holes and use self tappers. The 90’spec spoiler top mounting screw is further up the tailgate.

so what spoiler do i need to use the holes that are already in the boot coz i cant be doin with drillin elsewhere etc

If you have a 90 spec tailgate then it'll be easier to get a '90 spec spoiler

'90 Spec is worth a little extra work IMO.

Drill and Riv-nut IMO. It's not that hard to do.

if your car was originaly fitted with an 80s spec spoiler then the 90s spec one will not fit in the original holes, so you want an 87-88 rear spoiler to bolt straight on.

i got a 88 spec spoiler in my garage its white plus a 88 spec front bumper
