Default radtec coolers

Have fitted a 60 mm core twin pass to test and i must say it performs very very well, the only fault is the 2 to 3 psi pressure drop from a single pass to the twin pass ,as for coolin the water temps are no diff from before the coolin temps were 4 deg over amb on cruise as near as i could tell but under boost was only just into the 20,s drivin very very hard was well impressesd, reved crisp also.not bad for 2 bar ish
There twin spal fans work so well better than anythin i have used before takes 40 sec from fans kickin in to goin out, dont understand why people have overheatin probs at all anyways i aint got any pics yet but will post some asap.happy so far.

Sounds good Timmy.

Agree with your comments about cooling problems. I think the distinguishing factor is how well maintained the car is. A poorly maintained CVH will over-heat, while a well-maintained one most probably won't.

Glad to hear that you are getting results that are similar to mine with the GRS.

Was shocked how well twin pass perform but i think your right about the coolin issues, its given me room at the front that i need for a few things so its stayin on for now,i know the grs performs well from your car but the waiting list wasnt acceptable tbh, anyways be a good comparison to she what it will take in the future as i have an ecu swap looming soon as well as other stuff lol and still on the old engine for now lol

Think Mike G has 1 on his fezzy that was run up at scc and made good power but i may be wrong.

Why the swap in coolers Tim, just for some extra room?

Cheers

Ł70 a roll IIRC and a roll will cover a bit more than a Cossie down pipe.

I'll go against the grain and say that the wheels look better silver, because they look like alloy wheels now and not steel wheels.

I suspect that the Radtec can't flow the air and cool it as well as the twin Cossie set up. I would also expect this of the twin pass GRS that I have on my car and any other twin pass cooler....

This is one of the reasons why I will be changing mine eventually for a single pass cooler.

But the Cossie one is a squeeze, of that there is no doubt. Unfortunately fitment does have to be considered, or we would all have truck intercoolers fitted.

Why not fit an RS500 one and be done with it?

That's always been my point with the GRS one, OK, some of you believe that there are issue's with it. However, it does fit.

Also, it does seem to be cooling 30psi OK and I have no real issue's with boost drop. I expect a certain amount, but that's part of the joys of owning a 'small but powerful' car.

Christian - RS500 intercoolers aren't all that by a long shot. Multiple Behr cores muchos better
