with ur engine, i would recommend a CVH 35

Thats if u want more power - it will be a touch more laggy. If not, buy the CVH31 (std cam)

Had 2 kent cams in mine (cvh34), but had problems with em so switched to a newman cam now....and to be honest the kent was better imo, if they hadn't given me any trouble would have stuck with it! Really useable power band, very little lag and pulled like a train to the limiter

Complete luck of the draw. I had a 35, and after 20k - was NO wear at all. Another one lasted a week..... Unless u go for a solid profile, it's luck of the draw with any of them.

Benn, the Standard Ford cam would be OK for that spec.

Alternatively, I would suggest a Piper 285T.

NO WAY is another Kent cam ever going in my engine. We had 4 cams that all ran lobes off within 1000 miles. All in different engines, only one of them built by us.

All cam manufacturers appear to be struggling for decent quality blanks and the followers are mass-produced shite, so that's a struggle too.

The only way to be more sure is something like a Newman solid profile, there is definately a noticeable difference in quality there, but it is slight over-kill for a low/moderately spec'd car. This is mainly due to the increased setting up that these require.

See, IMO, the std cam is good for bigger turbo engines, where as the uprated are when the std head and turbo hosuing is used, the valves are held open longer for to compensate for their restriction.
