Default cooling issues

When the cooling fans come in on my s2 they dont seem to take the temparature down much but just hold it steady. ive recently got a front mount and twin fans and sometime it takes the temp down so the fans go off is this normal as most cars the fans cut in and out but on my rs they pretty much stay on constant wen sat in traffic but they go off when driving.

opinions please...

Its because you have a barn door sized cooler stuck in front of youre rad mate ,youre lucky the temp doesnt continue to rise even with the fans running.Regards Micky

you could always wire the fan up to the ignition so it's always on if ya want the fan on more

Standard thermostat opens at 88 degrees. Quite a common thing to do is fit a 82 degree thermostat and a cossie fan switch as it kick's in earlier IIRC. Oh and wire up a manual fan overide switch for when you are coming up to traffic
