safechav, never saw the pistons in my engine, but i was sure my spare ones were dished, probably wrong as my memory is shite

Wondered how long it would be until someone commented Its all back together now, theyre probably worse than that cos its only been idling a few times....won't get a proper run until i start using it again, and its definately running rich now ive sorted out the air leaks.

Do pistons normally stay clean?? The plugs were perfect when i took the head off, no signs of running rich before.

wouldnt worry about it matey its when they have holes in them you get the problems
If its running rich then they will look a bit black anyway from the soot or unburnt fuel

Besides who cares what they look like as long as its running ok ?
