Default No boost, help!

hi all

need ya help been out in soaking rain trying to find out why my car has no boost.
wasgate isn't sticking, there are no splits in the pipes the actuator seems fine. when i hold my hand on the top boost pipe and rev the car it sucks the pipe in as apposed to swelling it like it should do.
any suggestions on what else i can look for cos im lost now?

You have a boost gauge? Also I presume you can feel the power-less of it?

yeah actuator rod is connected, though not sure if thats adjusted right cos it's wound right in to it's last thread but if anything i would of thought that would of kept the wastegate shut so there would be plenty of boost. i'd ideally like to try another turbo on there so i can rule that out so gonna look on ebay later.

i wouldnt have thought your turbo would just stop spinning or making boost.

disconnect the amal vaalve as it could be causing the turbo wastegate to stay open, block the hose from the air box, the connect the actuator vcume hose directly to the turbo compressor housing

na don't think it's the filter. anyone got any diagrams or descriptions on how to set the length of the actuator rod correctly? the car is completely standard so only looking to set at around 9psi.

metering head flap is good, not sure about hose collapsing though would it not still swell when under boost?

unless your actuator has gone very soggy very quickly it wont make naff all difference. one full turn equalls 0.5psi. lenghthen to increase boost, shorten to lower. order up a -31 actuator and have a go with that.

dont fuck around with it unless youve got a reliable boost gauge (not tim)
