Hi guys I recently won an 90spec RST spoiler on ebay, with the intention of fitting to my rs look-a-like When it arrived I was really surprised how heavy these things weigh! Do rst's have stronger boot "push rod" things (sorry I dont know the techinical term) as I dont think the boot will stay open with the weight of the new spoiler!

Also it didnt come with any screws/fixings, can I buy a pack from the dealer?

im pretty sure u can still get them on special order from ford. give it a go anyway

You might find it won't fit your tailgate either, depends on the year of your car I guess

my dad had an h reg escort eclipse and my mum reversed it into a pole when it went to ford they put a 90spec rst spoiler on it and it bent and snaped the brackets that the tailgate struts go on to.

it happend to my bonus i fitted some s2 rs ones and it stayed up they must be stronger

How are they fitted? im missing something on mine as one side is loose?

anyone got any s2 boot struts as mine on my 3i arent strong enough,my tailgate likes to collapse on my head!
