Default rear speakers

Hi all! Just curious as to what folks do about mounting rear speakers on either side of the package tray. looks like there is room but they need to be in a bit of an enclosure to sound good and they appear to just be open. any pics?

I bought original Ford ones just month ago, they are direct fit, connect to factory wiring and play nicely. They are enclosed with plastic fromt he bottom

I don't have camera, I'l try to make pics but I don't think I can get that done quickly. I can only make pics from camera phone but you won't see much there.

They are normally avalible from Ford as accesory speakers for Escort.

very sweet k5ssy. Do I have to cut the original package tray?! Im trying to avoid that. The smaller ones off to the side are what Im talking about... how do they sound not being in an enclosure?

kenwood 7x10's sound good no matter where they are put. there are folk on here who have fitted 6x9's into the original places for speakers wid a slight mod not sure who it was though

Just fitted some 6x9's in mine in original place.

Difficult to explain but easy to do

Made a mdf spacer that screwed to original mounting points, cut hole for speaker and fixed 6x9 to mdf. Sprayed mdf black so its not visible from above.

Used original speaker mesh so looks factory fit.

i have jl audio 6 1/2" in the rear and in the doors.
you can buy specially adapted pods that screw underneath the rear side shelf so you can fit them and still look original.
same with the front doors.
still can't beleive i got 6 1/2" in the doors!!!
