What was the difference between a standard escort and a wolf one?

Sorry mate I can't help you there, but one thing I do know is that spoiler is absolutely Hideous

 

Is that a real escos
The Wolf ones or whatever they are (i dont actually know) had a spoiler extension on the lower spoiler

That looks like the rear spoiler Rikki Brown had on his Weird Taz Escort Cosworth... it sucks IMO

 

It was a pic i found from either ford fair or national rsoc day last year.

 

I agree I have seen both cars and they both looked awful in my opinion
Not sure if its from some weird thunder saloon type Escos but still doesn't mean it should ever be fitted.

& unless you can get one 2nd hand, you will have your work cut out finding one, wolf no longer have the mould for them

 

Personally I'm not that keen as I think the Esc Cos has enough spoilers!

 

thats why i got rid of mine,made it look like a halfords replica from the rear

As I understand , the difference of std. cossie and Wolf cossie is more than just the wing. There seems to be 300hp on them? What has been done to these ( chip etc )?

wolf is a partner in germany with ford racing,and is very well respected
i seem to remember in the dtm,aswell as selling everything from stickers to bodykits and wheels to headlights etc,my own wolf escort cosworth has the magic 300 kmh speedo clocks(standard got 260kmh) aswell as the 300 bhp
conversion, a few othe bits and pieces but doesnt however have the extra appendage on the bootspoiler,i have spoken to many people over the years regards lhd cosworths,and the wolf ones seem very popular
i would be interested to see more regards wolf cosworths.....

 

I love the Wolf wheels think they suite the car perfect

But where would it be possible to find out what has done to it?

Also is this Wolf edition a special one with co-operation of Ford/Cosworth? Or is it just later done tuning by Wolf?

there are 2 walter wolfs, one did partner frank williams
in williams f1 and the other did ford stuff for ford germany
tuning,kits and of course racing hence they used to be known
as walter wolf racing same as the F1 TEAM, seems it was the F1 walter wolf who tuned lamborghinis
and had a special edition suzuki motorbike, the internet has stuff
or had stuff that made you think it was all the same person/company.

both had links with COSWORTH obviously, Walter Wolf the one who
did escort and sierra cosworths does not tune cars anymore, his
son Uwe still oversees the Race team, but they don't own as much
as they did ie ford garage,or the name,afaik r-a-i-d the company
who owned a majority of Wolf, bought them more or less out.

now the sad bit, i have been told Walter is not very well,i did not
want to ask too many questions regards it, but hope this special
ford tuner who had his own escort cosworth edition the best
