Default Removing Thermostat housing-maybe stupid question....

Is it OK to do it in this sort of weather,if I just remove the pipe work to it and dont drain the system will the engine be OK, its bloody cold in my garage! (but not freezing) and I dont want low coolant to somehow damage the waterways or engine

It will be fine mate. Just make sure you top it back up when back together

yeah it would take hours to freeze and would have to be severe minus temps
