i was after one for mine for ages aswell, for show bonnets the only place willing to help was marcus at creative carbon, but even then he still needed a minimum order to warrant having a mould made.

other than that you can get bonnets which will need to be painted in either carbon, kevlar or even a carbon/kevlar mix thru xsport racing.

For a range of various panels and parts for the escort try

I can get carbon bonnets but the ones we have had done came with a coloured rather than a clear gel coat..to then be painted...

Ł300 from memory but i'd have to check....p.m. me if you're interested...

Cheers

Once painted will these panels look same as standard, but just weigh less? Or will they have the carbon pattern to them?

Its just I am goign to have my car repainted in feb and was wondering if it was worth changing some of the parts to reduce some weight. If the carbon stands out then ill give it a miss, but if it will look standard I think its worth considering

The ones I've seen need painting, they're made for weight saving not show. They're not available with the standard locking mechanism either so you need bonnet pins

Think his was fibreglass and got buckled in the oven or something didn't it?

Sure Carbon can be painted tho, if your serious about saving weight then it's a good idea, if your not doing any other panels and still have a full interior etc then IMO it's not worth it!

Remember to get some pics up if you go ahead with it!
