Default Best places for paintwork in the South East ?

Hi Chaps,

Shortly after Xmas i plan to get the Cossie freshened up somewhat, i want the bumpers, side skirts and bonnet painted along with a new carbon splitter, the paintwork is in very good condition at the moment, but i want it 100% immaculate, i.e no stone chips or little scratches, any advice on where the best places are ?

Cheers
Richard

I had my WRC bits done by a guy in Wickford, Essex. Job was fine, but I was a fussy c-unt and told him I wanted a spot on job

His name is Jay and he is on 07957 625094 / 01268 762212

Mention Dave and the red wrc escos.. he should see you ok

Default Paint

Chaps

I know, paints a funny thing, it is really difficult to trust anyone because a bad paint job just looks terrible, insist on a proper spray booth and oven and ask to see previous work. Also ask how much a litre the paint they use is!
I've just had my whole car painted. I had it done at SC Gordons Coachworks in Luton. They are the only Bentley approved paint shop in the world and they have some very famous customers! Their paintwork and craftmanship was second to none!
They are also took out all the dents on my car - no filler used

Unfortunately they went into liquidation last week, i'm absolutely gutted, I hope someone buys them out in case I need anymore paintwork!

Default Paint

Dave

All the dents were removed from the car including the original pressing marks around the sunroof etc, I think about 15 in total
I also had the door locks removed as well.
Then the whole car was totally stripped, doors, tailgate, bonnet etc for a full repaint, including tailgate and door shuts, only the top half of the engine bay was painted.

The cost was reduced because I stripped the whole car myself, so they just repaired, prepared and painted it.

The materials alone were in excess of £800 though, the paint they used was approved by Bentley and even the polish they used was approved by Porsche, when I mentioned what to polish it with afterwards, I said about Autoglym or Meguirs, they called that the 'cheap' stuff

I did know the guys pretty well so they did give me some good discount but it still weighed in at about £2.5k. Even the receipt was made of parchment paper with a Silver embossed Bentley logo on it

An amazing paint shop that will be sorely missed

My mate had his Lotus Carlton repaired and painted there, on removing the bodykit they found all the original arches were rotten. These weren't available so they were all fabricated from sheet steel! His bill came in at £7k

Duncan at Automotive Unlimited http://www.automotiveunlimited.co.uk/ has a wicked painter He painted my FRS rear panels as I wasnt happy with the Factory Finish by Ford The guy even matches the standard shiny orange peel finish which is an art all of itself !

He has also painted parts on my mates cossie and again the finish is fantastic
