Replacing the standard black fuel hoses to fuel rail.
Anyone ripped this out and replaced with some "shiny" (can I say that on here without being abused aeroquip, goodrich braided stuff with hosed clamps. No reason why I guess, as long as the bore remains the same, just haven't seen it done....or haven't looked!!!

best bet is to get a spare fuel rail, get some -6 male bosses welded on,and then aeroquip it,you can use clamps on the fuel pipes coming into the engine bay but the tails on the fuel rail arent really long enough to use hose clamps in my opinion, especially where fuel is concerned so do it properly

Unfortunatly you have to be VERY careful welding / soldering unions onto the std fuel rail, I know of at least 3 cases where they have snapped off, LUCKILY it wasnt at high speed or while the engine was hot..
I got a Billet alloy fuel rail made, so you simply screw the unions into the end , As Nick says though I have just hosecliped the ends onto the fuel lines running under the car HTH
