Just ripped the f*****g front splitter off the car. Luckily it came off in one piece, just pulled the screws through. Hockey sticks not so lucky and snapped both.. Anyone know if you can still get these from ford, or will I just have to keep my eyes peeled on fleabay?

Also bumper seems to have dropped on one side, are they easy to get off and re-fit?

As far as I'm aware the hockey sticks are still available from Ford but would I also be right in thinking that they're around a hundred quid a side??

clips snap on the bumper, there is a front bumper fitting kit on ebay have a look. got these bits from fords myself this year so should still be able to get hold of them, there only a few quid. hockey sticks are about £75 each i think. The front splitter you might be able to get over using large flat washers to make up for the gap where the screws have been pulled through the splitter good luck

I would have thought a carbon sump guard wouldn't last too long

Well most modern rally-cars use carbon sump guards from what I know. It may be a litle bit different carbon and reinforced somehow but it's still carbon from what I know. A guy here has one on Escos and hit pretty heavily with it couple of times and it's still fine. Hmm maybe the material is only called popularily carbon and it's something different.. I don't know...

Dont know about that mate, there are different types of carbon so maybe they can take that sort of punnishment? I always thought sump guards were either ally or titanium

they use kevlar reinforced carbon fibre, this is very tough (rie resists puncture) and light, carbon fibre on its own is very brittle, but very light.

Dont throw your old Hockey sticks away, provided they are "complete" and genuine, they are worth keeping .... Or pasing onto someone who can repair them ...
