Default Standard Ford Rear Speakers

Finally got round to getting a stereo wired into the car. Fronts work fine, but rears only the tweeter bit works?? Car did have subs etc in the boot when I bought it which have since been removed, so I reckon guy that had it before me must have some how stopped the main speaker working.

Anyone any ideas to what he has done, before I go buy some new ones? There is some capacitor thing on top of the tweeter bit, is this meant to be there, other wise all other wires are connnected?

Have taken them out, and for one the wire going to the main cone has snapped, so was easily soldered, but the other doesn't seem to have anything obvious wrong with it, and everything is attached?

6x9's can be fitted very easily with the adapters that you can buy from halfords etc. anywhere that sells 'autoleads' products.. they do a conversion plate that screws to the exsisting holes and then allows you to mount a 6x9 underneath!!
done it... it works

Only had my Cossie a while and when installing my system I took a look under the rears to fit my 6x9's and there was a set of Alpines already there
Front are standard thou do Autoleads do an adapter plate for these? What size speaker does it suit?
