A turboback exhaust, BIG intake, and perhaps properly built hard IC pipes and correctly sized IC will help. Or just get antilag >

I have stage 3 and it is still very laggy, goes so well once its wound up but can be painful at times-spinning like a big water wheel

you think t34 is bad for lag?? drive a t4 car for a week and then go back to yours... it will feel like its spools up really quickly lol

Proper mapping can help a bit spooling (lean a/f ratio and ignition advance -> hotter exhaust gasses when it starts making boost) and ofcourse headporting and 2wd exhaust/tubular manifold. Or just get some new ballbearing turbo, some variation of the gt28 for example.
