Default Exhausts

My Escort has a Standard exhaust and its just far too quiet to appriecate the turbo sound.
Whats everyone else running??
I wanted a Magnex as I've always rated the quailty and sound (not too loud) but i've just been told Magnex only do the cat back now (big turbo)..
Scorpions are too loud and the quailty has never impressed me
Mongoose are good but but how loud are they??
Cheers Guys

What you want is a BLUEFLAME, there the makers of Mongoose, but there own is better reason being, they have bolt on flanges!

Give Duncan a ring as we spoke last night and today regarding them- he'll be able to get you one! Imo there the best one's to go for!

TBH i've only heard it properly on idle, but it does have a nice burble to it, similar to an RST if you know what i mean?!

Don't think its too loud on the move, Karl will be on shortly- he'll give you his opinion but i know he wouldnt go back to mongoose after having a blueflame!

Maxest - Do you know if bigpower's is a full catless one? I just wondered as his is a small turbo same as mine and wondered if there would be any problems mot time on emissions?

Thanks

Dont tend to see many like mine around

Its a Powers Item... Looks PHAT, sounds the bollox lol, had a stainless sports CAT next to the gearbox too, though I had a new section made up for it without the cat, IIRC, my exhaust is somewhere in the region of Ł700

BTW IF the Blueflame exhaust has flanges, that IS a MUST IMO, will make it soooo much easier to work on the car IMO

I have a Mongoose and boy was it a pain in the arse to fit and currently rubbing against my prop on occasions, sounds pretty quiet too, so in my opinion, if you want a burble, dont get a Mongoose

Mine looks exactly the same as that blue one posted up and i want a rear plate that size, i have 6 characters in my plate, is it a make it yourself jobbie or do people do those particular sizes, i also like the rear lights

I have a mongoose with the centre box taken out on the escort cos, i think it sounds louder than my old fiesta turbo with a scorpion on.

Mines a mngrel...

started out life as GGR system... had cat cut out, had centre silencer removed and replaced with a more easier flowing item and had top of down pipe extended up in to the engine bay further and angled to fit the turbo.

in my opinion for a mongrel it sounds lovely, and when it comes on boost it absolutly screams at such a nice note!!

Richie, if you want i can get your plate cut down, i can do it at work when i go back.

Hmm, that is an interesting statement - surely that will come down to a persons point of view. I personally like the conservative sound, much more classy than a Mongoose *IMO* Im too old to be a boy racer anymore hehe

The Blueflame sounds awsome! Everyone comments on the sound saying it's like a RST! Really come on boost alot better

Tan... Yes it is a catless system, but they do a sports cat also. My car flew through the MOT but if it hadnt i would have just bought that spots cat!

The fit is " perfect and ive always had mongoose on all my cars, but from now on Blue Flame all the way!

www.blueflameperformance.com

I got mine from Chaddy @ JCMotorsport, but they do them direct on ebay now!

I can assure that the quality of the Blueflames is spot on! They make for Mongoose, so they are on par with them if not better!
When it comes to the esccos i'm very picky and i wouldnt put on shite!

well maybe people dont know the difference between mig and tig. the blue flame exhausts i saw at donnington had mig welded brackets. so the stainless must be low grade or you wouldn'e be able to mig weld on them.

Do you have the box cut out and a new pipe put in. Or do you have it opened up and the baffels taken out.
