People, my pump is a group A and its crazy high pitched noisey are any of these uprated Bosch pumps any quieter!

Ok i see what you mean!

The metal pipe has a flared centre section to stop this, but the way mine & damo's are fitted (ie with double jubilee clips / rubber) i'm quite confident it won't dislodge.

Bit miffed about the piston melt though, as surely it would act like a car running out of juice.....Coughing / spluttering??

paul be careful, it could be on its way out.... my old 003 made alot more noise than my 023...
